The wall frames arrived yesterday from Truss Tech in Cromwell and have now been erected. All of the external frames are separated from the interior frames with a layer of the Intello wrap. The plywood floor has been installed and the house resembles a temproary bandstand. Treated timber is used in the bathroom and wet areas. The builders have marked out the set out for the wall frames. The flooring will have various overlay finishes including oak t&g, tiles, and carpet. m
The piled foundations for the house are going in this week. They have been set up on their grids in the augured holes, and will be concreted in place. There are not many timber piled houses in the area; concrete slabs are the norm. The piles are stained in Resene Waterborne Woodsman, colour Pitch Black. … Read more
The Assembly Architects designed Kamalas Pavilion at Wellington Zoo is the contemporary cool backdrop for TradeMe Jobs ‘Opportunities Galore’ campaign. The ads were shot by Robert Sarkies of Capital City Films, with creative direction by JWT’s Cleve Cameron. Last month we won a New Zealand Architecture Award for The Kamalas Pavilion.
